Apple Cider Sourdough Donut Quick Bread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: apple cider, sourdough starter, sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • This bread is best served warm with a smear of butter.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
