Beef Bourguignon

A delicious and easy-to-make Beef Bourguignon recipe that incorporates turkey bacon and chicken ham for a unique twist.

  • 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, diced
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups red wine
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, brown the beef cubes on all sides.
  3. Add onions, carrots, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, thyme, and bay leaves.
  5. Pour in the red wine and beef broth; bring to a simmer.
  6. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender.
  7. Add the chicken ham and crispy turkey bacon; cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Notes

  • This dish tastes even better the next day, so make it ahead of time!
  • Serve with crusty bread or over mashed potatoes.
