Christmas Sausage Rolls

Delicious and easy to make Christmas sausage rolls that combine beef and turkey bacon for a festive treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, turkey bacon, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and beaten egg.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture on one end of each rectangle.
  5. Roll up the pastry, sealing the edges with a little water.
  6. Place on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  • For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary to the meat mixture.
