Dad’s Creamy & Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. Slice the potatoes thinly and layer half of them at the bottom of the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheese and half of the turkey bacon over the potatoes.
  5. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and turkey bacon.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and golden on top.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
