  • 1 loaf bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 2 teaspoons dried sage

  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery, and sauté until soft.
  3. In a bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour broth over the mixture and stir until bread is moist. Add beaten eggs and mix well.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish and cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until golden brown.
