- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
- 1/4 cup orange sprinkles
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
- Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk to the creamed mixture, starting and ending with the flour.
- Drop tablespoon-sized amounts onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set. Allow to cool on wire racks.
- For the filling, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
