OUTBACK POTATO SOUP

A creamy and hearty potato soup inspired by the flavors of Outback Steakhouse, featuring the delicious addition of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the diced potatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  4. Blend the soup until smooth, then stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Top with reserved turkey bacon, green onions, and shredded cheese before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute turkey bacon with smoked tempeh and use almond milk instead of heavy cream.
  • Feel free to add more spices according to your taste.
