  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon green apple flavoring
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn kernels in an air popper or stovetop and place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Once it reaches a boil, stop stirring and allow it to boil for 4-5 minutes until it reaches a golden color.
  4. Remove from heat and quickly mix in vanilla extract, green apple flavoring, and red food coloring.
  5. Pour the mixture over the popped popcorn and stir until evenly coated.
  6. Spread the popcorn on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it cool.
  7. Once cooled, break apart and serve or store in an airtight container.
