Poisoned Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 orange (sliced)
  • 1 apple (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine apple cider and water.
  2. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced orange and apple to the pot.
  5. Let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Strain the mixture and serve warm.

Notes

  • For an added kick, consider adding a splash of bourbon.
  • Can be served cold as well.
