Simple Dark Chocolate Pumpkin Tart

A rich and cozy tart that combines the flavors of dark chocolate and pumpkin, perfect for fall.

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a tart pan.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  5. In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and melted chocolate until smooth.
  8. Pour the filling into the cooled crust.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set, then let it cool before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with whipped cream for an extra indulgence.
  • Can be made a day in advance and refrigerated.
