Sopa de Ajo

A rich and flavorful garlic soup featuring turkey bacon for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the garlic and onion until softened.
  3. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in the cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Whisk the eggs in a bowl and slowly add to the soup, stirring continuously.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon and parsley.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and use vegetable broth.
  • Adjust the garlic level according to your taste.
