Thanksgiving Piecaken

A delicious fusion of pie and cake that will surprise and delight your holiday guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the butter and eggs, and mix until combined.
  4. Stir in the pecans, pumpkin puree, and spices.
  5. Pour the mixture into two prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before assembling with pie layers.
