  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, eggnog, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, melted butter, and cinnamon for the crumb topping, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
