Wholesome Crockpot Beef Stew

A delicious and hearty beef stew made in a crockpot, perfect for cozy nights at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 4 medium carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the beef cubes on all sides.
  2. Transfer the beef to the crockpot.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients to the crockpot.
  4. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  6. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

  • For a thicker stew, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with equal parts cold water and stir into the stew during the last hour of cooking.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables such as peas or green beans for added nutrition.
